Richborough Commercial toured an Amazon fulfilment centre to see the latest technology in big box logistics warehouses.
Nick Jones, Matt Dugdale, Lewis Godsmark and Leo Gee visited Amazon’s MAN3 Fulfilment Centre at M61 J4 in Bolton.
The facility comprises 1m sq. ft of Grade A B8 floorspace and employs 1,000-3,000 people. They work alongside robots to receive, stow, pick, pack, ship and deliver items to customers doors!
The centre is located at Logistics North, the North West’s largest live commercial development which is also home to occupiers including Aldi, Komatsu, Lidl, MBDA and Whistl.
Matt Dugdale at Richborough Commercial said: “As the UK’s first dedicated commercial land promoter, we source land and secure planning permission for high-quality industrial and logistics schemes across the UK, along with data centres, roadside and retail uses and mixed-use schemes.
“Behind the scenes tours like this help us understand typical end-user requirements and ensure we unlock best value for all stakeholders involved in our schemes. Huge thanks to Amazon for this fantastic insight.”
